Body castings from Pompeii of people who died after the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. A method was used by Giuseppe Fiorelli in which plaster was poured into the hollow spaces left behind by the decomposed organic matter, leaving behind the details of the last moments of these individual's lives.
Some of the over 250 artifacts from the exhibit "A Day in Pompeii" at the Cincinnati Museum Center in Ohio.
